Chris Werner is the Assistant Sports Editor at The Daily Iowan. He is a senior double majoring in journalism and sport studies. Chris, originally from Evanston, Illinois,  joined the staff in fall 2019 and has covered over a dozen Hawkeye sports. He has also served as a digital producer and member of the DI’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee.
