In this episode of “On the Record” host Eleanor Hildebrandt and co-producer Hailey Marx sat down with DI reporters to get an in-depth look at their stories and talk this week’s headlines.

Brian Grace, a news reporter covering local government, discusses his enterprise story on how students in the College of Engineering are preparing to present their capstone projects. The projects will be presented in a virtual format, impacting their ability to network with potential employers attending the presentations. Ethics and Politics Initiative editor Julia Shanahan discusses her in-depth story about Gov. Kim Reynolds working to make her executive order restoring felon voting rights more permanent. She spoke with a man who regained his right to vote after this executive order; 35,000 Iowans regained their right to vote for this election. Finally,  managing editor Alexandra Skores talks her story on reactions from students within the College of Dentistry to an email thread discussing the college’s condemnation of a White House executive order regarding diversity training.
