Three Hawkeyes have been named AP All-Americans, the AP announced Monday.

Iowa’s trio of Keith Duncan, Tristan Wirfs, and A.J. Epenesa made the cut yet again, with Duncan earning first-team honors and Wirfs and Epenesa making he second team.

Duncan, who was named a second-team Walter Camp All-American and a Groza Award finalist, set Iowa and Big Ten records with 29 field goals in 2019, a mark that also ranks sixth-best in NCAA single-season history.

He hit four field goals on two separate occasions this season — once in Iowa’s 18-17 win over Iowa State and another in the Hawkeyes’ 19-10 victory over Illinois.

Duncan finished the regular season 29-of-34 on field-goals with a mark of 14-of-18 from 40 yards or more.

Wirfs earned first-team Walter Camp All-American honors and was named the Big Ten’s Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year.

A first-team All-Big Ten selection, Wirfs started nine games at right tackle and three at left tackle. His versatility up front helped guide a Hawkeye offensive line that faced injuries throughout the season.

Epenesa also picked up second-team Walter Camp All-American honors after leading Iowa with nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss.

In his last three games, Epenesa has recorded 4.5 sacks, eight tackles for a loss, and three forced fumbles.

Iowa will take the field next against USC in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Dec. 27 at 7 p.m.
