The Iowa women’s volleyball team held a media conference and scrimmage in Xtream Arena on Saturday.
The team split up by colors. One team was black and the other being gold. Many fans gathered to cheer on the entire team.
Head coach Jim Barnes expressed their goal is to be in the top half this year. Barnes voiced that the team is driven and is able to work together.
5th year senior, Amiya Jones, spoke to members of the media and explained she is striving to be more dominant on the court.
The Hawkeyes’ first game is against Gonzaga on Aug. 26.
