Authorities have accused an Iowa City male of trafficking stolen weapons.

Ricky Wallace, 34, 141 Clapp St., was charged with trafficking stolen weapons and control of a firearm by a felon.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers executed a search warrant at Wallace’s residence and found two handguns, one of them stolen in Phoenix, Illinois.

Officers then reportedly discovered Wallace had a previous felony charge in 2005 in Cook County, Illinois, of possession of a controlled substance, the affidavit said.

Trafficking stolen weapons and control of a firearm by a felon are Class-D felonies.
