Roughly 100 people gathered at College Green Park on Sunday to recognize East Iowa’s Transgender Day of Visibility.
The rally featured several speakers who read poetry, shared personal stories, and called for activism.
The event was organized by Mandi Remington, the founder and executive director of the Corridor Community Action Network, who is running for the Johnson County Board of Supervisors in the June 2024 primary elections.
