The No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Fighting Illini, 101-85, inside a sold-out and pink-out Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday. Iowa improved to 13-3 in conference play.

Iowa guard Caitlin Clark led the Hawkeyes in points with 24, putting her 51 away from breaking the all-time scoring record for men’s and women’s NCAA basketball. Clark is also seven 3-pointers away from breaking the NCAA’s all-time record in a single season.

Three other Hawkeyes besides Clark scored double digits, including forward Hannah Stuelke with 20, guard Molly Davis with 17, and guard Kate Martin with 13 points.

Both teams scored 38 points in the paint, but Iowa out-rebounded Illinois by one rebound, with 42 compares to the Fighting Illini’s 41.
