Inside Out Reentry hosted an art gallery for formally incarcerated artists at Public Space One in Iowa City on Friday, Feb. 2.
Dozens of people showed up to look at art and listen to artists speak. There were various pieces, including poems, photography, paintings, sculptures, and more. Many attendees wrote letters to the artist at the event. Several of the artists honed or even first developed their skills while they were incarcerated.
The gallery will be on display until Feb. 16.
