The Iowa rowing team won three races at the Big Ten Invitational in Sarasota, Florida, this weekend. The Hawkeyes’ First Varsity Eight, First Varsity Four, and Third Varsity Four teams all placed first in their respective competitions.

Iowa’s three boats topped competition from Notre Dame, Indiana, Dartmouth, Michigan State, and Minnesota. The Hawkeyes picked up the most wins of any team in the field.

“I can’t say enough how proud I am of this team,” Iowa head coach Jeff Garbutt said via release. “They rose to the occasion this weekend and knew they had to put in their best effort with this level of competition. We were ready to get back to work and stay close to home the next month as we prepare for the Big Ten Championship.”
