North Liberty woman accused of vehicular homicide

A North Liberty woman has been arrested for allegedly killing a passenger in a utility terrain vehicle she was driving while under the influence. 

Julie Lynne Bell, 63, was charged Sept. 10 with vehicular homicide. Bell was arrested on Sept. 16. 

According to the arrest affidavit, on July 17, Bell was operating a Kawasaki Mule ATV at 2664 Newport Road in Solon that wrecked and killed the passenger. When police officers originally contacted Bell at the scene she appeared intoxicated, and admitted to drinking alcohol. Bell was later determined to have a blood alcohol level above .08. 

Vehicular Homicide is a Class-B felony.
