Iowa City man accused of stealing a Moped

An Iowa City man has been accused of second-degree theft. 

Andrew Lee Pearson, 36, address unknown, was charged Sept. 7 with second-degree theft and domestic abuse assault. 

According to the arrest affidavit, officers found the stolen moped when responding to a domestic complaint at 1024 E. Market St. Pearson had no connection with the owner of the moped. 

The moped was valued at $1700. 

Second-degree theft is a class-D felony.
