Man accused of stealing DC’s bouncer’s backpack

Authorities have accused a Kansas City man of stealing a backpack containing ammunition from a bouncer of an Iowa City bar.

Cortez Dorsey, 24, has been charged with providing false identification to law enforcement, third-degree theft, and second-degree burglary.

According to the arrest affidavit, Dorsey entered the rear entrance of DC’s bar without permission. While in the kitchen, Dorsey reportedly stole a backpack containing ammunition, an ID belonging to the owner of the backpack, a firearms ID also belonging to the owner, an iPod, and headphones.

Second-degree burglary is a Class-C felony.
