A heat wave brought in the fall semester at the University of Iowa on Monday.

According to KCRG, an excessive heat warning was put in place through Wednesday, Aug. 23, and may be extended into Thursday, Aug. 24, as temperatures reached the 90s and are expected to continue to climb throughout the week.

Madison Frette is a second-year student at The University of Iowa double majoring in Business Analytics and Information Systems and Cinematic Arts. This is her first year working as a photojournalist for The Daily Iowan.
