Cedar County Fair hosted a rodeo in Tipton, Iowa, on Thursday. Hundreds of event-goers attended to observe eight events and various riders.
The events included steer wrestling, breakaway roping, calf roping, team roping, and barrel racing. Riders rode bareback, saddle bronc, and bulls to end the night.
The Samuelson family went home with multiple first and second-place honors. Father Shawn Samuelson and son Andrew Samuelson won first and second place in calf roping, respectively. The duo also placed second in team roping. Daughter Layla Samuelson placed first in the breakaway event. In total, the family brought home $2,170.75.
