Iowa football team wearing blackout uniforms against Minnesota

The Hawkeyes wore the same uniforms when they knocked off the then-undefeated Gophers in 2019.

The Iowa football team is back in black.

The Hawkeye football Twitter account announced on Thursday night that the team will wear all-black uniforms in a blackout game against Minnesota on Saturday. Iowa wore the same uniforms when it beat then-undefeated Minnesota at Kinnick Stadium in 2019. The Hawkeyes and the Gophers are scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The game will air on the Big Ten Network.
