Nine games into his bounce-back campaign, Iowa punter Colten Rastetter has been named to the Ray Guy Award final candidate list.

Rastetter is averaging 40.9 yards per punt, 3.1 yards more per kick than a season ago.

Rastetter’s best performance of the season came in Iowa’s season-opener against Northern Illinois. The junior had 4 punts for 215 yards, averaging 53.8 yards per kick.

He’s had five games this season that he’s averaged better than 41 yards per kick.

The list of punters will dwindle down to three on Nov. 20, when three finalists will be announced.

Iowa hosts Northwestern this week on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
