The public transportation system in Iowa City can sometimes be hard to navigate and some members of the University of Iowa community are finding problems with it.

Some international students said they find it hard to take advantage of the bus system when coming to Iowa City, despite the use of over 20 routes.

“I don’t know which line I can take and even if I take that, I don’t know which stop I need to get off,” UI student Ruihan Li said.

Li said she would like to see a map at the bus station detailing each route and which roads it takes.

Night classes pose another problem because the busses only run until 9 p.m. on weekdays.

“I couldn’t choose the late classes because I have to catch the bus before nine,” said UI student Jiqing Zheng. “Otherwise I have to take a cab and that’s impossible.”
