Wilton man accused of stealing lottery tickets from Casey’s

Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Wilton man accused of stealing five lottery tickets.

Law enforcement suspect Jeffrey Gilliam, 32, has committed lottery fraud.

According to the warrant, Gilliam requested five scratch-off lottery tickets from a Casey’s in Coralville. Gilliam received the tickets and exited the store without paying.

When confronted by a Casey’s employee in the parking lot, Gilliam entered his car and drove away. Gilliam later attempted to cash the lottery tickets at a Hy-Vee.

Lottery fraud is a Class-D felony.
