During Easter, it is common to give presents like chocolate bunnies, but more recently it has become popular to give real rabbits as a present. Many people view rabbits as a low-maintenance animal that requires little attention. This is quite the opposite.

Rabbits require an extreme amount of attention and socializing to gain their trust and to live in a stress free environment. Iowa City’s Animal Care and Adoption Center told us everything we need to know if you want to have a rabbit as a permanent member of your family.
