4 Hawkeye golfers head to Zach Johnson Invitational

The Iowa men’s golf team will send four golfers to compete at the Zach Johnson Invitational in Des Moines today and Tuesday.

The tournament is hosted by Drake at the Glen Oaks Country Club. The course is par-72 and stretches 6,898 yards.

Two freshmen, Jaewook Lee and Jake Rowe, will make their season and collegiate débuts.

Junior Aaron DeNucci will also make his season début for the Hawkeyes. DeNucci averaged 77.11 strokes per 18 holes in his three appearances last year.

Alex Moorman will participate in his first tournament since the Gopher Invitational earlier this season. Moorman shot a 74 on 18-holes in Minnesota.

Eleven other programs from around the Midwest will participate in Des Moines: Drake, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, Indian Hills CC, Loyola-Chicago, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, Nebraska-Omaha, South Dakota, and Western Illinois.
