One local downtown store opened its doors Saturday to bring artists and customers together.

Beadology sells beads and jewelry from around the world, as well as jewelry making tools.

The event Saturday, a meet the artists jewelry trunk show, provided an opportunity for local artists to present their custom made necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more.

During the show, the artists also demonstrated their jewelry making.

“It’s … just really rewarding to have something physical to show for your work,” said Monica Davis, a trunk show participant. “Like what you’ve done, the time that you’ve spent, the effort you put in, you have something tangible, something fun to look at [and] something unique to you.”
