Kayla Smith is a fourth-year student at the University of Iowa, majoring in Journalism and Mass Communcation with a minor in political science. Before becoming New Director, Kayla worked as Assistant News Director and DITV news reporter. Kayla interned previously at KCCI 8 News in Des Moines as an Emma Bowen Fellow. She hopes to become a TV news producer.
