George Kittle named to NFL Pro Bowl

In his second season, the San Francisco tight end earned Pro Bowl honors.

Former Hawkeye George Kittle was named to the NFL Pro Bowl, the league announced on Tuesday.

Kittle, a tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, has 72 receptions for 1,154 yards and 4 touchdowns. He had a career-high 210 receiving yards in the 49ers’ 20-14 win over the Denver Broncos on Dec. 9.

The Pro Bowl is slated for Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN/ABC.
