President Trump on Tibbetts’ death: ‘immigration laws are such a disgrace’

President Donald Trump commented on the death of UI student Mollie Tibbetts and the arrest of undocumented immigrant Cristhian Bahena Rivera.

President Donald Trump briefly talked about the death of University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts during his rally in Charleston, West Virginia on Tuesday.

Trump commented on the arrest of Cristhian Bahena Rivera, who was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Tibbetts. Rivera is an undocumented immigrant.

Trump’s full comment:

“You heard about today with the illegal alien coming in very sadly from Mexico. And you saw what happened to that incredible beautiful young woman. Should have never happened. Illegally in our country. We’ve had a huge impact but the laws are so bad, the immigration laws are such a a disgrace. We’re getting it changed but we have to get more Republicans.”
