Drink of the week: Buffalo Sweat

Drink+of+the+week%3A+Buffalo+Sweat

The name may not sound that appealing, but don’t be fooled. Tallgrass Brewing Co.’s mixture of dark-roasted barley and milk sugar is definitely worth a taste.

Experience: Whether you’re a newcomer or a dark-beer enthusiast, Buffalo Sweat has something you’ll enjoy. This stout has a very rich flavor with almost no bitterness. Each sip offers up hints of espresso and chocolate thanks in part to the milk sugar, which isn’t drowned out in the mix.

Advice: This stout is strong enough to stand on its own, but it also pairs really well with most rich foods, especially such desserts as chocolate or cake. Drink it slowly. This is a beer that can be enjoyed for more than just its effects.
