Woman charged with causing excessive damage to another person’s home

A Coralville woman has been accused of causing extensive damage to another person’s home.

According to a Coralville police complaint, Tera Harris, 24, was charged Dec. 8.

Harris allegedly poured oven cleaner in a fish tank and bleach onto the bedroom carpet in a person’s home. She also punched a hole in a bedroom wall, the complaint said.

The damage costs exceed $1,000.

Second-degree criminal mischief is a Class-D felony, punishable up to five years in prison with a maximum fine of $7,500.
