Coralville man accused of driving under the influence of marijuana

A Coralville man was accused of possessing marijuana.

Andrew Antill, 20, Coralville, was charged Monday with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and third-offense OWI.

According to a University of Iowa Police complaint, Antill’s vehicle was pulled over and the officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana and could see a pipe, commonly used to smoke marijuana, in the back seat.

Officers search his person and vehicle and found a One Hit Box, a small clear bag of marijuana, a glass pipe containing marijuana residue, a gold grinder containing marijuana residue, and a 18 inch clear bong also containing residue, the complaint said.

Antill admitted to smoking marijuana before driving and was brought to the Iowa City Police Department and tested positive to being under the influence of cannabis, the complaint said.
