A Coralville woman was charged Sunday after she allegedly stabbed a subject in the back with a steak knife.

According to a complaint by Coralville police, Stephanie Pipkin, 25, was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with another subject at her residence, 608 Fourth Ave.

During the altercation, Pipkin allegedly stabbed the victim in the back with a steak knife, according to the complaint.

The complaint said Pipkin admitted to the stabbing after numerous warnings.

Pipkin is charged with willful injury causing serious injury, a Class-C felony.
