First announced finalist for UI associate vice president/dean of students

The UI search committee recently announced Anne Flaherty as the first finalist for the position of associate president/dean of students in the Division of Student Life.

UI graduate Anne Flaherty has been announced as the first of three finalists for the position of Associate Vice President/Dean of Students in the Division of Student Life. Flaherty visited campus for her presentation on Tuesday.

This is the second round of finalists the UI has brought to campus for the search. The four finalists brought to campus last semester were not selected.

Currently, Flaherty is the Interim Assistant Dean of Students and Director of WashU Cares at Washington University in St. Louis.

She also has served as the Coordinator of Student Resources and Wellness, Interim Director of Student Health, and Director of Student Resources, Wellness, and Diversity at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

According to her curriculum vitae, Flaherty held Assistant Dean positions at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Indiana University School of Medicine. Flaherty also served as the Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Student Life as well as Dean of Student Life at Butler University.
