Iowa football tickets to Soldier Field now available

Iowa football fans can now begin ordering their tickets to the Hawkeyes’ season-opening Sept. 1 showdown with Northern Illinois at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, either online at Ticketmaster.com, by telephone at 1-800-745-3000, or at any Ticketmaster outlet. Prices range from $60-$80.

A limited supply of end-zone seats are available to Iowa season ticket-holders and I-Club members. These can be purchased at hawkeyesports.com. Hawkeye season ticket-holders have purchased more than 14,600 tickets for the contest, according to a release. Iowa fans can also see men’s basketball head coach Fran McCaffery throw a ceremonial first pitch before the Chicago Cubs’ Aug. 31 game against the San Francisco Giants. Tickets for that game available are through Bravo Sports Marketing at bravosportsmarketing.com.

The football game will mark the eighth meeting between the Hawkeyes and Huskies. They last met in 2007, when Iowa claimed a 16-3 victory. Iowa is undefeated in the series.

The Huskies own the nation’s longest active winning streak, having won their final nine games last fall, including a 38-23 victory over Arkansas State in the 2012 GoDaddy.com Bowl.

The Hawkeyes will host four-straight home games following the duel with Northern Illinois: Iowa State will visit on Sept. 8, Northern Iowa on Sept. 15, Central Michigan on Sept. 22, and Minnesota on Sept. 29.
