The Hawkeye men’s cross-country team was named Tuesday to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association All-Academic team. To qualify, the team needed to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and must have competed at its NCAA regional championship. Iowa posted a cumulative GPA of 3.05 and placed seventh at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
“Earning this honor speaks to the level of commitment our student-athletes put toward their academics,” Iowa cross-country head coach Larry Wieczorek said in a release. “It’s our goal to excel both in the classroom and on the cross-country course. This team is a great representation of that goal and the Hawkeye cross-country program.”
