Dine on a Dime: Dip

’Tis nearly winter break, boys and girls. Soon, we will be back home with our families celebrating the holidays. When all the mirth and revelry of New Year’s is over though, there is still more to look forward to. Of course, I’m referring to the Orange Bowl.

Between college bowl games and the start of the NFL playoffs, winter break is truly the football time of year. Here’s a great dip recipe which can be made either vegetarian or … not vegetarian. Enjoy some with a big bowl of tortilla chips while watching Georgia Tech get stomped.

Dip

Ingredients:

2 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese

Directions:

Melt cream cheese in a medium-size saucepan on stove over low heat. Strain Rotel and stir in. For vegetarian style, strain black beans and stir in along with a tablespoon of taco seasoning. For carnivore style, brown sausage and stir in. Let cook (still on very low heat) until hot. Serve with tortilla chips.
