There is only one word to describe Michael Hart’s mustache: legendary, according to cross country and track teammate Kevin Docherty.
“It started my sophomore year of college at the intrasquad meet,” said Hart, now in his fourth year of being on the team. “I was still trying to earn my roster spot on the team, and [the mustache] was a side product of No-Shave November.
“I went with the mustache for my first race and I had good results, and I just stuck with it ever since.”
Even Hart’s coach, Layne Anderson, supports his “legendary” mustache.
“I’m not much of a mustache guy myself, but whatever motivates him,” Anderson said. “That’s what gives him strength. Certainly, more power to him.”
