W. Kamau Bell, star of FX’s ‘Totally Biased,’ comes to Mill

Attacking a variety of controversial issues such as race and religion in a seemingly fearless manner, sociopolitical comedian W. Kamau Bell says, “I tell jokes, but I’m not kidding.”

Bell will perform at the Mill, 120 E. Burlington St., at 9 p.m. today as a part of his Oh, Everything tour, which will run through Jan. 24, 2015.

Bell is best known for his critically acclaimed FX comedy series “Totally Biased.”The show was produced by comedy legend Chris Rock after he became of a fan of Bell’s one-man college tour in 2007 called The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About An Hour.

Exhibiting his outspoken brand of comedy, Bell has appeared on several networks and shows from “Conan” and Comedy Central to MSNBC and National Public Radio. The New York Times regarded Bell “the most promising new talent in political comedy in many years.”
