Man charged with criminal mischief

Authorities have accused a Fairfield man of damaging a car.

Dalton Cook, 20, was charged Nov. 5 with second-degree criminal mischief.

According to online court documents, Cook reportedly entered the impound lot at Big Ten Towing and entered a maroon Jeep Cherokee.

Cook then allegedly proceeded to ram the vehicle at a locked gate three times and then exited the lot.

Authorities have accused Cook of causing an estimated more than $1,000 worth of damage to the vehicle.

Second-degree criminal mischief is a Class-D felony.
