Hawkeyes prepare for duel in West Lafayette

The Iowa men’s swimming and diving team will continue with its Big Ten dual meet this season today as it heads to West Lafayette, Ind., to compete against the Purdue Boilermakers and Ohio State Buckeyes.

The meet will start at 3 p.m.

All three teams participating in the dual are currently ranked in the top 25. Iowa sits at No. 21, Ohio State is in front at No. 10, and Purdue rounds out the list at No. 25.

Iowa holds a 1-2 record this season after dropping its last meet to No. 7 Minnesota on Nov. 1.

Iowa boasts one of the deepest teams in the Big Ten. Sophomores Roman Trussov and Charles Holliday have both enjoyed breakout seasons, with Trussov most recently posting his second NCAA “B” cut in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.37.  He was recently named one of three Big Ten Swimmers of the Week.

Captains for the Hawkeyes will be seniors Kyle Noser and Tyler Lentz, along with junior Grant Betulius.
