Daily Iowan TV reporter and anchor Brad Maxwell won a 2013 College Student Production Award at a ceremony Sunday in Minneapolis.

Maxwell, a University of Iowa junior, won the award for his fall 2012 story, “Adderall – The College Crack.”

The award, in the “General Assignment – Serious News” category, comes from the Upper Midwest Emmy Chapter/Foundation.

Maxwell was also nominated in the same category for his story, “Testing the Limits — Johnson County Ambulance Service.”

Additionally, DITV received a nomination for its newscast on Election Day 2012.
