The Iowa City City Council has approved a change of rules for taxis in Iowa City.
The council passed a resolution removing issuance dates established by a previous council resolution, as well as setting fees and insurance requirements for taxis, on Tuesday.
The dates to be removed are established by ordinance and contained in the City Code. No changes would be made in the current fees and insurance requirements.
