A local man was arrested after he admitted to selling marijuana to his roommate.

Ryan Markley, 25, was accused Feb. 16 with possession of controlled substance and a controlled substance violation.

Iowa City police officials executed a search warrant at Markley’s residence. During the search, officers located marijuana, a pipe, a bong, and a gallon size baggie with marijuana residue, the police complaint said.

Possession of controlled substance is an aggravated misdemeanor. Controlled substance violation is a class-D felony.
