The state Board of Regents approved an amendment to the Master Ground Lease Agreement, giving University of Iowa officials room to add more land to the Research Park.
The amendment adds 5.4 acres — originally purchased in October 2012 — to Lot 6, adding more frontage along Highway 965, bringing the total acreage to roughly 234 acres.
The original agreement between the research park and the regents began in 1989. The Research Park leases property to companies with ties to research and the UI.
