North Liberty man charged with death threat

A North Liberty man was charged Sept. 7 after he allegedly sent a threatening text message to the mother of his child.

According to a complaint by North Liberty police, Brandon Hunter, 20, allegedly sent numerous text messages back and forth to the mother of his child, with whom he recently separated. One of the messages allegedly stated, “I’ll fucking kill you.”

The complaint said the woman said this caused her fear, and that Hunter later assaulted her.

Hunter is charged with first-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor.
