Local reading series blue//green will promote local writers with a reading at 8 p.m. today at the Mill, 120 E. Burlington St. Admission is free.

Blue//green, a project started by Sean Gath and Josh Brandon, gives local writers an opportunity to present their work to the community.

Originally, Gath and Brandon published a small e-zine, but they felt a live reading was a more appropriate and engaging medium for sharing writing, Gath said.

The Mill hosts the reading series on a monthly basis usually on Wednesday evening. Writers who are interested in reading their work are encouraged to contact blue//green press at [email protected].
