A bill banning the use of red-light traffic cameras in Iowa has moved to the Iowa House Appropriations Committee.
According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the bill almost died by not receiving enough votes in the House to push it through last week’s "funnel week" deadline. However, the Gazette wrote, House Speaker Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha, sent the bill to the committee to make it eligible for further discussion.
