Woman charged with burglary, abuse intent

A North Liberty woman was charged Dec. 3 with first-degree burglary and domestic-abuse assault with intent after she allegedly broke into a residence with the intention of assaulting her ex-boyfriend, who was inside.

According to a complaint by North Liberty police, Keisha Jackson, 34, allegedly broke into the residence around 7 p.m., gaining entry by breaking the lock and door jamb. The complaint said she then proceeded to the bedroom, where she allegedly assaulted her ex-boyfriend, causing redness to the left side of his face and pain in his neck, according to the complaint.

Jackson allegedly also assaulted a woman in the residence, pulling her hair and biting her.

First-degree burglary is a Class-B felony, and domestic-abuse assault with intent is an aggravated misdemeanor.
