Men’s tennis travels to Hoosier state for two matches

Coming off a victory over Penn State at home last week, the No. 62 Iowa men’s tennis team (7-6 overall, 1-2 in the Big Ten) will try to start a winning streak against No. 60 Purdue (10-6, 1-1) on Saturday and No. 29 Indiana (16-4, 3-0) the following day. The matches are set to take place in West Lafayette and Bloomington, Ind.

The matches will most likely take place indoors with temperatures projected to remain in the low 50s for the weekend.

Going undefeated in these contests will be crucial if Iowa looks to reach its goal of finishing in the top four in the Big Ten and going to the NCAA Tournament at the end of the year. The Hawkeyes have their work cut out for them when they try to cool down the Boilermakers, who are coming off a big victory against Michigan State, and Indiana, which is riding a seven-match winning streak.
