The No. 48 Iowa women’s tennis team lost, 5-2, to No. 34 DePaul Sunday in Chicago. This is the third loss in a row for the Hawkeyes, dropping their overall season record to 2-5.
In the No. 1 singles spot, junior Sonja Molnar dropped a close match to Katarina Milinkovic (6-4, 6-3).
Senior Jessica Young fell to Gia McKnight, 6-0, 6-3, in the No. 2 spot.
Senior Lynne Poggensee-Wei took home one of the two singles point for the squad, winning in the No. 3 spot (6-1, 6-2). Freshman Christina Harazin grabbed the other point for Iowa with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 6 position.
The duo of Young and Molnar ran their doubles record to 5-1 after defeating the 55th-ranked DePaul pair of Katarina Milinkovic and Gia McKnight (8-3).
Iowa also lost to Marquette this past weekend, falling 4-3 on Feb. 19.
