Women’s golf finishes 16th at Missouri

The Iowa women’s golf team wrapped up the second and third rounds of play on Tuesday at the Johnnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo.

The Hawkeyes finished 16th out of 18 teams with a three-round score of 961 (97 over).

Big Ten foe Wisconsin took first place with a score of 909. Tulsa took second place with a score of 912, and Missouri followed with a 913 for third.

Freshman Kristi Cardwell had the Hawkeyes’ lowest score in round three with an 81 (9 over).

Cardwell also carded the team’s lowest score in each round and finished tied for 24th individually.

Sophomore Chelsea Harris and freshman Gigi DiGrazia both finished round three with a score of 82, and juniors Laura Cilek and Brianna Coopman each carded 83s.

The Hawkeye Invitational will be Iowa’s next competition. The team’s lone home tournament of the year will be Oct. 17-18 at Finkbine Golf Course.
