An Iowa City man has been accused of stealing a student’s backpack from the Pappajohn Business Building.

Luke Sensabaugh, 21, was charged Oct. 24 with second-degree theft.

According to a University of Iowa police complaint, the victim brought in a computer software security report that showed a picture of Sensabaugh and also showed that he had created a profile on the victim’s Macbook Pro.

Sensabaugh allegedly admitted to stealing the victim’s backpack. He said he had various items from the backpack in his apartment.

He also said he took the victim’s iPhone and hid it in the bushes after he realized the phone had a tracker app.
