Two members of the Iowa women’s tennis team fell out of the ITA Central Regionals on Sunday.

Junior Shelby Talcott fell in a quarterfinals match against Kanyapat Narattama of Oklahoma State (6-2, 6-3) after defeating Oklahoma’s Morgan Chumney (7-6 [5], 6-4).

Senior Ruth Seaborne, the No. 65-ranked singles player, fell in the round of 16 to Megan McCray of Oklahoma State after taking the first set (3-6, 6-2, 6-4).

“We played a lot of quality matches this weekend and came out with both good results and things to improve on,” Iowa head coach Katie Dougherty said in a release.  “We’ll look to finish the fall strong next weekend at Drake.”

The Hawkeyes will travel to Des Moines on Oct. 28 to compete in the Round Robin Invitational hosted by Drake.
