This year’s Independence Day fireworks will take place one day after the fact for downtown Iowa City.
The city’s annual fireworks show will occur on Friday around 9:45 p.m. The fireworks will be shot off from Hubbard Park, with seating on the Pentacrest.
The fireworks show will follow Jazz Festival performances by Sachal Vasandani and the Iowa Jazz Orchestra.
July Fourth fireworks will take place in Morrison Park in Coralville and over Lake Macbride at dark.
